Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 14, 2025

1. Commitment to Accessibility

The Royal Care Ltd (“Royal Care”) is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities, older users, people using assistive technologies, and those accessing the site on a range of devices and connection speeds.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA wherever feasible and to apply inclusive design principles from the outset.

2. Measures We Are Taking

We are:

  • Using semantic HTML for structure and meaning.
  • Ensuring sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
  • Providing text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Making interactive components (menus, buttons, toggles, forms) keyboard accessible.
  • Managing focus order and visible focus indicators.
  • Avoiding reliance on colour alone to convey information.
  • Testing with screen reader software (e.g., VoiceOver) and keyboard navigation.
  • Implementing responsive layouts for different viewport sizes and orientations.
  • Reducing motion / animation or providing user control (where animations are added).

3. Accessibility Features

  • Skip / landmark navigation structure (header, main content, footer region).
  • Descriptive link text (avoiding repetitive or ambiguous labels when possible).
  • Logical heading hierarchy to support assistive technology navigation.
  • ARIA attributes used sparingly and only where native semantics are insufficient.

4. Current Known Limitations

We are still validating some aspects of content and functionality while services are in pre‑launch. The following may not yet fully meet our target standard:

  • Occasional missing alt text while media libraries are finalised.
  • PDF or downloadable documents may not yet be fully tagged for accessibility (will be remediated before publication or replaced with HTML content).
  • Future embedded third‑party widgets (e.g., mapping, form vendors) may have constraints outside our direct control.

If you encounter an issue not listed here, please let us know.

5. Feedback & Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our site:

Please include, where possible: page URL, description of the issue, device / browser, and any assistive technology in use. We will aim to acknowledge within 5 working days and provide a response or remediation plan within 20 working days (complex issues may take longer, but we will keep you informed).

6. Enforcement

In the UK, if you are unhappy with our response you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for guidance. For data protection related accessibility issues (e.g., inability to exercise rights) you may also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

7. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. As we roll out new features and content we will:

  • Conduct periodic accessibility audits.
  • Integrate automated linting / testing tools where practical.
  • Provide training and guidance for content contributors.

8. Alternative Formats

If you need information from this website in an alternative format (e.g., large print, plain text, accessible PDF) please email us. We will consider your request and respond promptly.

We are committed to building an inclusive digital experience for all users and appreciate your support in identifying areas for improvement.
